Combilift is a business that was originally founded by engineers Robert Moffett and Martin McVicar. They had over 40 years of engineering experience between them when they first founded the company in 1998 within Monaghan, Ireland. In only more than a decade, Combilift became a leader in the global long-load handling market, providing equipment to over 50 markets worldwide. Supported by a trusted global network of distributors that have assisted expand distribution into numerous markets around the globe and utilizing their extensive experience and knowledge, McVicar and Moffett have created machinery that are in high demand and had sold 10,000 models by mid 2009.

There are a range of mast options for the C-Series Combilifts, while these machinery provide up to nine meters and lift capacities that top out at 25,000 kilograms. Available engines are in electric or battery, LPG or gas and diesel and the C-Series Combilifts can operate in guided aisles as narrow as 210 centimetres wide.

Combilift Straddle Carriers provide the ability to move heavy, oversized cargo like fully loaded containers that weigh as much as 35 tons. These loads can be transported all around a work site or facility and the Combilift Straddle Carrier can carry fully loaded containers where required, whether it be from the trailer to the ground, from the ground to the trailer, or from trailer to trailer. These kinds of machinery are a cost-effective, effective solution for many shipping, haulage, and distribution businesses, even those kinds with low throughput levels.

The SL-Series side-loaders are machines capable of driving in four directions because of its multi-directional steering.
