Classifications of Aerial Lift Platforms & Scissor Lifts
Aerial platforms and scissor lifts allow workers to work on high structures because they could reach a lot of objects and structures. These lifts provide friendly user controls that enable to independently operate the platform from the base. This allows the machinery to access things. There are lots of lift designs available that are suitable for particular applications and environments.

Scissor Lift
The scissor lift utilizes a series of crisscrossed connected steel arms. These arms are designed to create an X patterned support system when the lift is raised vertically. Workers use a big rectangle platform which is attached to the top of the lifting mechanism. There are support railings along the edges to provide added protection.

The scissor lift features a low profile which is great for hard and compact dirt surfaces, concrete and pavement. These equipments make use of either a combustion engine or an electric motor to power the lifting device and the lift.

Rough Terrain Scissor Lift
The rough terrain scissor lift utilizes the same lifting technology as the standard scissor lift model. The rough terrain unit differs in that it features a specific base that is designed for surfaces that are not even. The rough terrain even offers a higher ground clearance and oversized all terrain tires. These units provide lower lifting heights overall due to the equipment's higher center of gravity.

Telescopic Boom Lift
The telescopic boom lift offers a beam which rises both vertically and diagonally. To operate the boom, the equipment has controls outfitted on the work platform. The controls use a combustion or an IC engine in order to power the hydraulics and lift the boom.

Articulating Boom Lift
An articulating boom lift has two telescopic booms which are attached with a moving elbow. This lifting machinery offers a small work platform or a bucket equipped with hand controls which are utilized to control the boom. The articulating lift is capable of reaching on top buildings and over objects.
