Articulating Booms - Electric and Bi-Energy
The Genie DC and Bi-Energy equipment made by Terex provide quiet and emission-free operation in the most sensitive work applications. Like for example, in industrial environments where the machinery should travel significant distances, the Genie bi-energy system combines the flexibility and advantages of a diesel fueled generator with a 48 Volt DC machinery.
Important features that this combination provides is up, over and out positioning capabilities for complete flexibility. Also, the zero tail-swing provided by nearly all models, combined with the tight turning radius offers easy maneuvering through narrow aisles and standard doors.
The drive and proportional controls provide the machinery with precise boom positioning and smooth drive performance. For emission free and quiet operation suitable for sensitive environments, there is a 48V DC electric drive system. There are jib boom models on the market to function with an extra working range for particular tasks. On non-jib models, there is a self-leveling platform which rotates ninety degrees to either side.
Articulating Booms - Diesel Engine
Genie equipment by Terex are great for both outdoor and indoor construction applications. This particular model provides engine-powered articulating Z booms that combine up, out and over positioning capabilities and extreme lifting versatility overall. The outreach offered by this type is second to none in the market.
Diesel engine equipment on most modes have an articulating boom which provides zero tail-swing with a small turning radius. These machinery are great in small or narrow places. In addition, they provide supreme power, excellent torque and grade and terrain maneuverability. The diesel engines are quiet in general as well. Nearly all models have active oscillating axle and full time drive positive drive traction system to offer great flexibility on rough and uneven surfaces.
High ground clearance is provided in 2 or 4 wheel drive models, while the rough terrain models are desirable for any company's fleet. The jib boom types are available and provide extra range capabilities. On non-jib models, the self-leveling platform also rotates to 90 degrees on these models too.
