Forklift Tires
When it comes to installation types, there are two kinds regarding forklift tires: press on and standard. Usually, press on tires are utilized on electric forklifts and those types of forklifts used indoors like warehouses. The press on tires could also be utilized in light industrial application too.

Standard tires are mainly used on forklifts which operate in outdoor settings or where rough or uneven surfaces need tougher tires and more traction.

There are lots of different kinds of forklift tires just as there are many different types of forklifts. The kinds of tires which are most frequently utilized are polyurethane, pneumatic and solid. The type of tires are dictated by where and what the forklift is utilized for. It is essential to obtain the correct type of tires for the job and ensuring the correct choice will have a big effect on both safety and performance.

For outdoor forklifts which have to function in an all-terrain atmosphere like on a construction site, the best option will be pneumatic tires. These are constructed out of tough rubber and then filled with air, similar to a tractor or truck tire. Pneumatic tires create an air cushion between the terrain and the forklift itself. This particular design considerably lessens the wear and tear on the equipment and creates a very comfortable ride for the operator. The tire's deep, thick treads give the necessary traction needed for use on surfaces which are rough and uneven.

For light industrial applications, both outdoors and indoors, solid tires are suitable. They are fabricated out of tough, constructed solid rubber. This helps them to stay safer from blowouts, popping like pneumatic tires or damage because of puncture wounds. Because these tires are not filled with air, they could not provide the cushion effect. This fact makes them unsuitable for use on rough terrain. Several solid tires are made with holes in the sidewalls to provide a rather softer ride. The only issue is that this kind of construction makes the load carrying capacity of the forklift less.

Though they are designed for indoor warehouse use only, polyurethane forklift tires will normally outlast both rubber tire designs. The load capacity of polyurethane is much higher compared to a rubber tire. These tires work great with well with electric forklifts because of the extra weight of the machine's batteries. Because of the less rolling resistance of the tires, another benefit of this particular type of tire is the longer battery life.
